Domestic Abuse - Safety Plan.
Andrew Pain is a TEDx Speaker, online entrepreneur, high performance coach, time mastery nerd and dad to 5 kids, He writes about: productivity, self development and overcoming domestic abuse. After writing this fabulous article: https://medium.com/@andrew.a.pain/exiting-domestic-abuse-its-not-easy-but-it-is-possible-39069ea2966, he posed the following question. ONLINE ABUSE & STALKING - PROTECT YOURSELF.
Leaving an abusive relationship is the most dangerous time. If you or your children are using any item that is connected to the internet, such as a mobile phone, or your car has an inbuilt connection to the internet, you can be tracked and hacked. It is essential that you check the settings and passwords on all of your devices and the devices of your children, especially if your abuser ever had access. You can find more details on cyber protection here: https://serocu.police.

Ministry Of Defence
I was delighted to receive this today. Back in November 2019, I was invited to speak at the MOD on the subject of domestic abuse against men and domestic abuse in the workplace. The event was to launch the "Defence wide Domestic Abuse Awareness Campaign." It was attended by several support organisations, military and non-military, as well as survivors. Alongside representatives from the RAF and Navy Families’ Federations and the Military Welfare Colonels, were Mr Chris Green

Part 2 - Misandry at the Commission.
A huge thank you to those of you that have read, responded and commented on my last post about misandry at The Equality And Human Rights Commission. Further to my last post, I thought that you may be interested in emails between myself and a Commission representative In July of 2019. I wrote to the Commission via their online contact form. I was curious about the wording, that they had included with statistics that they were quoting, so I requested the source. You can see scr

MISANDRY AT THE EQUALITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION.
Domestic Abuse Business Support (DABS) is passionate about supporting all victims of domestic abuse in the workplace, regardless of gender, sexual orientation and ethnicity. Why is this important? It's important because domestic abuse knows no boundaries. Domestic abuse can and does affect anyone. It is illegal and frankly inhuman, to treat a victim differently because of their gender, race or sexual orientation, all of which, are "protected categories" under U.K. law. Why am

More than half a million working women experienced domestic abuse last year.
A new report by KPMG highlights the seriousness of the impact that domestic abuse is having in the workplace. It's unfortunate however, that this report ignores an entire gender. Men are also victims of domestic abuse and are also targeted in the workplace. Read the article here. https://metro.co.uk/2019/11/25/more-than-half-a-million-working-women-experienced-domestic-abuse-last-year-11211764/ #domesticabuse #domesticviolence #HR #Business #blog #blogger

LET'S END THIS ONE SIDED REPORTING
Domestic abuse is a global issue that affects men and women, yet the media continue to only show one side of the issue. I commend these women for their bravery to speak out and I fully support efforts to protect women and girls, but men and boys deserve a voice as well. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/topics/c008ql15dvgt/domestic-abuse #domesticabuse #domesticviolence #blog #blogger

When you see the "call to action," this highlights the blog posts that we need YOU to get involved with.
"Respect your fellow human being, treat them fairly, disagree with them honestly, enjoy their friendship, explore your thoughts about one another candidly, work together for a common goal and help one another achieve it. No destructive lies. No ridiculous fears. No debilitating anger." - Bill Bradley
Please help DABS and The Bridging The Gap Project, to support a change in how we all talk about domestic abuse. Let's all come together for the good of all victims, regardless of their gender, religion, ability, sexuality, ethnicity or social and workplace position.
